PORT MACQUARIE, Australia — A group of cute koala bears can be seen enjoying the simple moments of life at the Billabong Zoo in Australia

The sight of the koalas enjoying their enclosure was captured on video at the wildlife park in Port Macquarie.

In the video, the koalas can be seen happily feeding on eucalyptus leaves, jumping from one branch to another, taking a nap and interacting with other family members.

The Billabong Zoo, Koala & Wildlife Park posted the YouTube video “Adopt a Koala.”

“There are multiple koalas in this , too many for us to be able to name them,” said Krysti Giles, marketing and social media manager at Billabong Zoo.

Recent bushfires across Australia have impacted iconic wildlife, such as the koalas.

Already approaching endangered status, the horrific destruction from the blazes has further depleted the koalas’ numbers and made them even more vulnerable to various factors, such as a dwindling habitat, less food supplies, protection from predators and fewer viable breeding partners.

Koalas typically inhabit open eucalypt woodlands, and their diet consists mostly of the leaves of these trees. Because this diet has limited nutritional and caloric content, koalas are largely sedentary and sleep up to 20 hours a day.
